Ceramics 2 Final Project A block- Wed 6/12, B block- Thurs 6/13

Students will be asked to research and choose a female artist who creates 3D art. Each student will choose a different artist that needs to be approved by Mr. Purcell and write a 2 full page (minimum) 12 point font paper with no added images plus an additional works cited page.
Be certain that you can find at least 3 different independent sources of information to gather information from.  Wikipedia and the artist's personal site do not count.

Create a representation of this artist’s aesthetic identity and facts about their life, training, creative process and notable aspects of their career in the arts. The artist's work has to be three dimensional but the media utilized is unlimited. Students will represent that work with a clay structure of their choice with the option to include other materials. Presentations will count for 20% of final grade.

Be in class before the bell with all materials ready to present.  No late or emailed papers will be accepted.  Please do not plagiarize in any way and begin by learning the correct pronunciation of your artist's name.

Presentations can be a well thought through synopsis with note cards or the paper can be read to the class.  Please be prepared to know your subject matter and answer questions.

paper 40%
art 50%
presentation 10%
