Ceramics 2 Final Project/Presentation

Students will be asked to research and choose a female artist who creates 3D art. Each student will choose a different artist that needs to be approved by Mr. Purcell by Tuesday June 3 and write a 2 full page paper (minimum) plus an additional works cited page and create a strong and accurate representation of this artist’s work and facts about their life, training, creative process and notable aspects of their career in the arts. The artist's work has to be three dimensional but the media utilized is unlimited. Students will represent that work with a clay structure of their choice with the option to include other materials. Presentations will happen during the last day of class and will count for 20% of final grade.
Be in class before the bell with all materials ready to present.  No late or emailed papers will be accepted.  Please do not plagiarize in any way and begin by learning the correct pronunciation of your artist's name.
Presentations can be a well thought through synopsis with note cards or the paper can be read to the class.  Please be prepared to know your subject matter and answer questions.
